There is a new battleground to be fought, and it is a mini car subcompact segment (C-segment). Chevrolet just squeaked that it plans to produce the new Chevrolet Spark minicar for theU.S..
As gas prices get more expensive, Mini subcompact car that seems to be the ideal choice when getting a new car. The Chevrolet Spark minicar will be efficient, capable of reaching 47 miles per gallon combined.
We’ve got the first look of the Chevrolet Spark in 2009 at the Geneva Motor Show, but will look at life around 2012. So far, there is no specification on the minicar is green, but we assume that it will have a 1.0 liter engine that produces about 80 horsepower. And that’s enough power to get you around town.
The Chevrolet Mini SUV (the name has probably not been announced yet) is based on the Chevrolet Aveo/Sonic/Holden Barina platform and it measures 4.2 metres. The car will have 5 doors and 20 mm suspension. Unlike previous Chevrolet 4x4s, the car is a lot smaller, but Chevrolet has also announced a smaller 4x4 known as the Spark SUV, based on the Spark city car. The car will petrol and diesel engines developing 140 HP and have the same interior as the 5-door Aveo/Sonic/Barina.
